A matter of difference

In this world, when the urban living is all about equality between a man and a woman, I would like to underline the difference between a man and a woman,
Isn’t she too special to be called an equal :P?
I mean, she can be a mother, a sister, a friend, a daughter, a wife…all at the exact same time. We all know he is all that too, but well, can he be all that at one time! No!! He will escape it and instead say, “I need some time alone please! “ :P

She works as a top management official in an MNC, but she never forgets to call her son to check if he has had his lunch on time. He instead knows his wife is taking care of everything…he just need not bother!

She is at home, tending to her in laws, attending regular guests, serving them snacks and tea, looking after her kids, their studies, their health, their food, he is there, he loves her, but he can live without thinking about all this because his wife is taking care of everything!

She is just married, ambitious, successful and smart. She has returned from office, exhausted and hungry. But still she has the love and the energy to make a nice meal (moreover what her husband likes) for both of them, no doubt he can take her out to dine or help her in the kitchen, but can he take charge and let her rest? Can he manage to cook the whole meal after his hard day at work….every single day? Instead he just knows she is there, to take care of everything.

There is a huge difference, between how a man thinks and how a woman thinks…..it’s only a wonder how she takes care of so many people around her, and manages to keep all of them happy. She forgets her happiness in the process, but smiles through it all. A woman takes care of your emotional needs ….
In a wife, hides a mother.
In a mother, hides a friend.
In a friend, hides a sister.
She is more than words can explain. She is a woman.
I am not saying that men are not capable, but it’s just that they don’t have it in them….maybe god wanted it that way…
My message to all the men who know such magical women is ...

Tell them how special they are...
Express yourself…
Don’t bottle up your feelings in your heart thinking there is no need for it to be told…
Say it aloud instead!
Say it again and again…is there any harm in it?
All you can do for her is this!
She will take care of everything else! Isn’t it?

Hmm, this should have been there in the post too : She always wants her work to be acknowledged. She wants that people should praise her and SHE never ever is able to see what HE goes through for her.

He has a social responsibility of being a provider, even if she has a job, people frown at him when he loses his.
He never wastes time gossiping about in-laws, he'd rather do an overtime to buy her that b'day gift she's had an eye on.
He never lusts for appreciation and acknowledges her work
He is the one who has to eat the dishes She makes with all that extra salt and complement her so she doesnt feel bad
He has to make sure she feels comfortable in the new environment after leaving her house
He loves her to death while she burries herself in those files night after night
He bears with her when she fails to make lunch for them to get to that early meeting
He listens to her immature arguements of the battle of the sexes
He is kicked out of kitchen when he offers to help on the grounds of illiteracy in kitchen
He thinks why She wants everything when all he wants is just HER.

Sorry the post was too feminist. I always disagree with feminism coz its very hypocritical.

Good writing though, the way u've written it is excellent; i just disagree with the content.

yo to women empowerment!!! we rock!!

Well, Nihit....I agree about almost everything you have written is true....but this post was for women....i will write a post for men too.....I know what men are and what they can be....and vice versa!
But this was dedicated to women alone!! It was a chapter to be read by men for some reminders they might have forgetten....and it was for women who have lost their confidence and need to be told that they are special....as you said, men dont need to be told all this....they are happy anyways :P So why write about it :P

Aditi..............:) said...

Harshada, yes I agree we tend to put in more than required...but thats us! We are expected to that...and actually thats how men love it too...its just that they dont acknowledge it often :P

Aditi..............:) said...

Pheonix, well yes...we rock!!! Dont we!! :)

Also Nihit, if you imagine someone while reading this, maybe your mom....then your perspective will change.......whatever you have written about MEN will change once you are in a relationship....your perspective will change after you see more of the real world.....:)
Cos all the men I am closely associated with agree to this post :P

nihit said...

Maybe, but then all men u r closely associated with dont even make up like .5% of all the men there are.. it's very subjective

M not saying I don't agree with the post and that women are not worthy of respect. Ofcourse women shud get the respect they deserve and Multitasking can be only handled by women. Agreed.

But the post tended to throw a lil negative light on the men, generally also, the post is degrading for men.
So m waiting for the post where u praise men.:) :)

And frankly, somewhere, u women are only responsible for the irresponsibility of men when it comes to relationships. I mean, you gals get involved in everything to suchha great extent that the guys lay back a lil bit.

n the discussion between u n Nihit was quite something! oh btw, i feel women multitask n nurture n nourish out of love n the way their minds r wired...not to make men feel 'insecure'..this post was not at all 'feminist'

i'm looking forward to ur sequel post:)

strangely.... when one woman fails, they say 'women r not good at this', but when a man fails, they say 'Jay isnt good at this'!!

Aditi..............:) said...

Thanks a lot Vinnie....yeah I will write the sequel soon :)

Men will be men they will never give up so I dont blame Nihit...but the bottom line is whether its social or personal its the woamn who makes it or breakes it..she is the support system. I dont say men cant but they are definately less efficient than we are... So moral of the story... WE ROCK...Adu a B I G muuuuuaaaaaaahhhhh for this post, only you can do it babe!!!!

hey Aditi

very nice post re!

yups, agree, though men are physically stronger, women are emotionally the strongest of the two sexes. women do not break down and have the strength to carry and adjust in any relationship..probably because she is a mother and knows her various roles upto perfection.

men must respect women and must not treat them as an object of lust or as a housechore machine.....I AM PROUD BEING A WOMAN ... :)

Agree with you as well as Nihit :D

btw, there was this one line in The Godfather which said: 'Aah.. but then men know more about friendship than us women'

And over the time, I have observed that its pretty true.. I am not sure if you would agree.. :P
